Happy Birthday, Severus Snape!

Today is the birthday of one of the most famous literary characters of all time. Never has one character stimulated so much debate as J.K. Rowling's Severus Snape. Is he a good man or a villain? Does his love of Lilly Potter excuse his behavior to her son later? Did he put that barrier up between him and Harry because it pained him every time he looked into that kid's eyes and saw the eyes of the woman he loved and lost? There are so many things that were implied, but never really answered about this mysterious man. For me, I loved Snape. Sure, I hated him throughout most of the series because of the way he treated our beloved Harry Potter, but in that moment when the tears were collected and Snape's memories were witnessed...it was all over for me! I loved the man through and through. Share you favorite Snape moments (or even your favorite Alan Rickman moments, because both are so sorely missed)!

If you loved Gilmore Girls, then this is the book for you. If you loved Parenthood, then this also is the book for you. If you loved Lauren Graham's first published book, Someday, Someday Maybe, then this is the book for you! But what I bet you didn't guess was if you're an author this is a great book for you!

How and when did you start writing?

I started writing in elementary school, probably as an assignment at first, but then I wrote plays and we performed them at school. Looking back on it now, I was a pretty sassy little fifth grader. I wrote a play titled “The Queen of the Nile” about Cleopatra. The script has been lost to time, but I’d love to see it again.
